Get certified online for your Texas license to carry. Our Texas online license to carry class is the official online Texas LTC class certified by the Texas Department of Public Safety. We also assist you in finding a local LTC instructor in your area to complete the shooting portion after you take our online LTC class.

No more spending all day on a Saturday sitting in a crowded classroom. Our online class is available to everyone regardless of where you live in Texas. As soon as you complete our online course you will be able to instantly download your official certificate of training that’s required to apply for your Texas license to carry. You will also learn how to apply for your license in our online class.

 

Who Can Take The Online LTC Class

Anyone from anywhere in Texas can take our official Texas Online License to Carry Class. It does not matter what city you are in! Our LTC class is certified and approved by Texas DPS Statewide. Once the class has been completed, your certificate of completion, LTC-101 will be immediately available to download. You can take our online class on your desktop, laptop, tablet or smart phone! Take our online class at your own pace and on your own schedule from the comfort of your home.

Administered through videos that are broken into 15-20 minute segments, you can take the online LTC class at your own pace from anywhere in Texas. Progress is saved at the completion of each video, allowing you to take the online LTC class as fast or slow as you want. Watch for 15 minutes and come back to continue another day, or watch all 4 hours. Its all up to you! Developed to be taken from your computer, smartphone or tablet, you have the most flexibility when choosing when and how to take the class.

Who Can Take Our Online Texas LTC Class

We have thousands of students from all across Texas. Immediately upon passing our online class you will be able to download your official certificate of training.

Range Portion

Upon Completion bring 2 copies of your certificate, You will receive range instruction and a safety briefing, followed by the 50 round shooting proficiency. You will be expected to shoot at least a 175 out of 250 to qualify. We will shoot 20 rounds at 3 yards, 20 rounds at 7 yards, and 10 rounds at 15 yards. Upon successful completion, we will sign off on your certificate making it complete and ready for DPS submission along with your application.

*You will also need* 

-Range appropriate clothing 

-Baseball cap or any hat with a bill (Highly Recommended)

 -No open-toed shoes 

-No low cut shirts 

-Eye Protection (prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses are fine) 

-Handgun (of any caliber) or rent one for -$50.00 (Includes ammunition, ear, and eye protection) *ALL HANDGUN RENTALS ARE 9MM*

 -Two magazines in case you have a malfunction with one. 

-50 rounds of ammunition 

– If you bring your own firearm you can use your own ammunition. Ear and eye protection

Exempt From The Range Portion

  • -Texas correctional officers (CO’S) are automatically exempt from the range portion.
  • -Active duty military or veterans that have within the past 10 years completed training in the familiarization of firearms OR have firearm shooting scores from the military.
  • -County Jailers that have completed firearms training as part of their employment.
