Range Instruction and Proficiency Demonstration

Once you’ve completed the online portion, you’ll complete the state-required hour of range instruction with Chief Instructor Daniel Martin. Chief is certified by Rangemaster and other national organizations as a handgun instructor, in addition to his military and competition experience, and will be happy to work with you. Brand new or very inexperienced shooters may need more instruction or training than the hour included in this package. Contact us directly at highstandardtactical@gmail.com, or via Facebook Messenger about our ability to offer comprehensive basic pistol instruction which concludes with the License to Carry Proficiency Demonstration course of fire.

An additional range fee may apply depending on the range and date. Students must provide their own handguns and at least 100 rounds of appropriate ammunition. If you do not have your own handgun and ammunition, please contact us via emial directly before registering to make alternative arrangements if possible. Once you’ve registered, you will receive and email from highstandardtactical@gmail.com with additional details about the event.

As soon as you complete our online course you will be able to instantly download your official certificate of training that’s required to apply for your Texas License to Carry. You will also learn how to apply for your license in our online class. The bottom portions of the certificate of training will be completed at the conclusion of the range time and upon passing the proficiency demonstration course of fire, and you’ll be ready to apply! The state-required proficiency demonstration is a 50-round course of fire with stages at 3 yards, 7 yards, and 15 yards. You can watch Chief shoot the proficiency demonstration here:
